Stickers

Lately we've experimented a bit with new-to-us items that we usually bypass at the craft store. For example, a box of foamie stickers and foam sheets are a very fun (and clean) way to spend some time at the art table. CC especially loves to play with the stickers. They help develop her fine motor skills--all that peeling is hard work--and she really responds to the bright colors, shapes and feel of the art she creates.

Hmmm...I admit that I've never been a lover of those foam stickers, but seeing this post makes me think that my 4 y.o. would love the tactile nature of them. thanks!

My son begged me for some of those, so I bought a bag of the colored shapes, and he loves them. They are fun and handy to have around.

ooh, we've done so many things with foam stickers! I love having all sorts around for decorating projects.

I love these things! Have you tried felt shapes and a felt board? My neices love doing that, too, and they are able to re-arrange their art as they please (the stickers make that a bit harder). Also, it's a one time expense (you re-use all the items). I take a picture of their art when they're done so that they can keep it!
