We put this together for Sabrina's preschool Christmas party. It was a huge hit and so easy and fun to make. I made it again to bring to a holiday party and filled the empty parts with pineapple chunks.
Thanks everyone! Mandi, the stump is a Bosc pear. As I mention in the post, you can fill the empty space with pineapple or some other contrasting fruit. Enjoy!
I found your recipe on Pinterest, and I am going to make it to bring to my SIL for Christmas dinner. There are seven cousins, ages 1-9, who will love this. Thanks for sharing.
What a great idea! My 13 month old daughter has lots of food issues and can't eat many things. She can eat pears. I am going to use green pears to make the tree shape (where you used apples), brown pear for the stump, and cut out the star on top from a pear. I'm sure her cousins will also love putting together trees with her. Thanks for sharing to inspire my ideas :-)

I can't wait to make this for our christmas party this weekend. Can you tell me what you used to make the tree's stump? How fun! :)

I love that you do ginger bread houses with your kids too. It is one of my most favorite christmas memories from when I was a kid.
Thanks for the inspiration...off to Christmas lunch with the family hopefully they will be impressed by my efforts. xx
